Recently, I’ve started taking on commissions for a publication called Aposto. One of my assignments was to photograph people gathering at Dolmabahçe Palace, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, passed away. At exactly 09:05 in the morning, sirens sounded to mark the moment of mourning. I was there to capture how people commemorated him.

For my first assignment with Aposto’s gastronomy publication, apéro, we visited chef Mustafa Otar’s flat for an interview. He made us an amazing autumn soup (not pictured).
